When your barbershop's whole vibe is "be badass," your website better have some attitude too. That was the fun of our newest project — a bold new barbershop website design for one of Rathdrum's most character-packed local businesses.
We're proud to announce the new website for Buckshot Barber North, the badass barbershop in Athol, Idaho. Home to the biggest beards and the baddest outlaws in North Idaho, Buckshot needed a site with as much personality as the chairs it fills.
Meet the client: Buckshot Barber
Buckshot Barber has two locations, one in Rathdrum and one another in Athol. Their barbershops that blends progressive, cutting-edge styles with classic, old-school craft, think hot towel shaves, straight razor fades, precision cuts, and serious beard work. It's led by a talented crew:
- Dawn Ellingson-Jones, the "Beard Master," who came up through professional styling and American Crew education before finding her passion in men's barbering. Beard trims, hot shaves, and contemporary men's styles are her specialty.
- Reed Finley, a precision specialist who's been in hair since 2012 — flattops, all fades, straight razor, and every hair type and texture.
- Cheyenne, a licensed cosmetologist since 2010 with a sharp eye for detail and a soft spot for kids' cuts and mullets.
Add in beard-art galleries, a wall of loyal clientele, and a "beer and a haircut" welcome, and you've got a shop with a genuine identity. The new website's job was to capture it.
A barbershop website design with personality
For a local barbershop, the website has two jobs: show the vibe and make it dead-simple to book. So we built the new Buckshot site to do both. The design leans into the shop's bold, outlaw character with strong imagery and attitude, while keeping the important stuff, meet-the-barbers bios, galleries, and a clear text-to-book flow, right up front.
Because Buckshot runs on texts and walk-ins, we made contacting the shop effortless from any page, especially on mobile, where nearly every "barber near me" search happens. And the whole site is structured with local SEO in mind, so guys across Rathdrum, Hayden, Coeur d'Alene, and North Idaho can actually find the shop when they search for a fresh cut or a beard trim.
